Red Gate Percussion Luar Biasa..!



Ya, kata-kata itu yang menurut kami paling pas mewakili gambaran tentang prestasi Red Gate Percussion pada mata lomba Drum Battle di event BMBC 2012 di GOR Pajajaran Bandung. Meskipun dalam beberapa kesempatan kami pernah mendengar dari beberapa pemerhati di kalangan marching band bahwa Red Gate Percussion adalah salah satu unit yang berpotensi besar juara, namun tetap saja hal itu tidak serta merta menghilangkan keterkejutan dan kekaguman kami mengingat bahwa peserta drum battle di ajang BMBC 2012 berasal dari unit-unit yang selama ini mendominasi kejuaraan (caption) drum battle di berbagai event. Setengah percaya dengan hasil yang diperoleh kalo boleh kami mengatakan itu. Luar biasa!

Incredible Red Gate Percussion! Those words really fit to what have just been achieved by that new drum battle team in drum battle contest during Bandung Marching Band Championship (BMBC) 2012. Notwithstanding we had heard several times from marching band people that Red Gate Percussion would be the most potential winner within the event, still we were so surprised and amazed, especially because most of other participants were well-known drum battle teams that had outstanding records in various drum battle contests. Unbelievable achievement..!


Beberapa hal yang membuat kami memberi apresiasi tinggi terhadap prestasi Red Gate Percussion adalah terkait fakta-fakta tentang keberadaan unit tersebut dan bagaimana upaya para personilnya untuk mencapai prestasi ini. Fakta-fakta tersebut antara lain yaitu pertama, usia para personil Red Gate Percussion relative sangat muda, rata-rata 19 (sembilan) belas tahun. Fakta ini dapat berarti bahwa para personil Red Gate Percussion merupakan anak-anak muda yang memiliki bakat lebih dan skill di atas rata-rata.  Usia yang masih relatif muda ini juga memunculkan optimisme bahwa kemampuan mereka masih dapat dikembangkan sampai tingkat maksimal.  Dan pada gilirannya nanti, mereka akan mampu menggantikan peran para senior mereka dalam meneruskan dan memajukan dunia marching band Indonesia seberapapun kontribusi mereka. Kedua, fakta lain dari perjalanan Red Gate Percussion di BMBC 2012 adalah mengenai berbagai keterbatasan yang harus dihadapi sebagaimana unit/band independen, mulai dari ketersediaan transportasi, peralatan, dan tentu saja pendanaan. Mungkin salah satu yang menguntungkan adalah bahwa sebagian besar mereka berasal dari satu tempat tongkrongan yang sama.

Several matters that made us give high appreciation to the remarkable achievement of the Red Gate Percussion have something to do with certain facts about the team and how the personnel of Red Gate Percussion involved in achieving the prestigious title.  One of the facts is they are relatively young, about  19 years old averagely. This fact can also mean that the personnel of Red Gate Percussion are blessed by special talent and have better skill. The tender age emerges such optimism that their skill can still be increased up to the maximum level. Then, in turn they will replace and continue their seniors in enhancing marching band in Indonesia. Other facts that accompanied Red Gate Percussion in attending the event were about some constrains that usually also be faced by any independent teams. The constrains included transportation matter, equipment, and of course financial condition.  One that gave benefit to the team might be the fact that most of the personnel came from the same hangout.

Red Gate Percussion telah memberikan insipirasi kepada kita bahwa tekad yang kuat dan keyakinan yang tinggi terhadap harapan yang ingin diraih mampu merubah tantangan menjadi peluang. Ardhika Sarana Musik sebagai produsen ASM Marching Percussion turut bangga berperanserta dalam kesuksesan Red Gate Percussion di ajang Drum Battle BMBC 2012.

The success of Red Gate Percussion during BMBC 2012 inspired us that strong determination and high confidence toward high achievement could transform a challenge into a chance. Produk ASM di Benua Biru!


Tidak ada cara instan untuk untuk menggapai sesuatu yang dicita-citakan. Tidak ada cara singkat dan mudah untuk mendekati kesempurnaan. Kalau demikian maka yang harus dilakukan adalah melakukan dengan benar proses yang harus dilalui setahap demi setahap. Pada akhirnya apa yang diharapkan pasti akan terwujud juga. Kesadaran demikian menjadikan setiap proses adalah sebuah perjalanan yang menyenangkan. 



No instant way to make our dream come true. No shorter and easier way to get close to a perfection. If so, the main thing we should do is just doing it right step by step. In the end what we expect will be gained. That awareness makes every process is like a journey to be enjoyed.

Saat ini kami percaya bahwa apa yang kami lakukan adalah bagian dari serangkaian proses untuk menuju kepada sesuatu yang kami cita-citakan, kami impikan. Apa yang menjadi cita-cita dan mimpi kami itu menjadi sumber energi yang dahsyat yang membuat kami terus bergerak maju. Ibarat sebuah perjalanan, maka selain hal-hal yang indah dan menyenangkan kami pun menemui hal-hal sebaliknya. Namun karena kesadaran yang kami miliki tadi, semua itu tetap menjadi sesuatu yang dapat kami nikmati.
 
We believe that what we have been doing is a part of a process to achieve something what we always dream of. What we dream of can be converted into huge energy that enables us to move forward. Inspite of wonderful things, we also found any obstructions and obstacles. Our awareness makes us through them with joy.

Memperkenalkan dan mengangkat suatu produk agar menjadi produk yang diakui dan dipercaya bukanlah sebuah proses sederhana dan singkat. Apalagi produk tersebut muncul di tengah berbagai produk serupa yang telah lama dikenal khalayak. Ditambah lagi bahwa munculnya produk tersebut bersamaan dengan "riuhnya" kemunculan pelaku-pelaku baru usaha serupa yang mengusung merek mereka sendiri… Nah, produk ASM berada di tengah situasi tersebut. Boleh dikatakan situasi ini sangat menantang dan menggairahkan..!

To introduce a new brand to be recognized is not such a simple and easy process. Moreover, the new brand comes up in the middle of other well-known brands and in the same time with the “noisy” emergence of new producers of the same products. Such situation can be so challenging and exciting..!

Apa yang ingin kami sampaikan di sini adalah bahwa kami patut bersyukur bahwa di tengah situasi “riuh” tersebut produk ASM mulai relatif banyak diterima komunitas marching band. Salah satu indikator penerimaan atau lebih tepatnya pengakuan akan produk ASM adalah makin besarnya volume produksi akibat dari makin tingginya permintaan.  Kondisi tersebut meneguhkan keyakinan kami bahwa berbagai langkah yang telah dilakukan berada pada jalur yang benar. Ini makin menguatkan keyakinan bahwa pada saatnya nanti kami akan meraih apa yang kami impikan. Yaitu menjadikan produk kami sebagai produk yang mendunia! Mengapa tidak?!

What we want to say here is that we are so grateful for fact that ASM products begin to be recognized by marching band community. One indicator that proved what we just mentioned is the production quantity that is getting bigger and bigger as the result of the increasing demand. That condition strengthened our consciousness that each step we have made was and is in the right direction. And we strongly believe that in the future ASM product will be a global product! Why not?!

Untuk makin menumbuhkan semangat kemandirian serta kepercayaan pada kemampuan diri sendiri maka tidak berlebihan rasanya kalau kami menyampaikan di sini bahwa saat ini permintaan terhadap produk ASM tidak hanya berasal dari dalam negeri, namun juga dari luar negeri!  Produk ASM mempu melampaui persyaratan standar mutu yang ketat dari konsumen luar negeri pada umumnya. Dan tampaknya ini boleh menjadi kebanggaan kita semua karena permintaan produk ASM salah satunya datang dari benua biru, Eropa! Meski dapat dikatakan bahwa dalam tingkatan tertentu ini adalah prestasi, namun ini sekaligus tantangan lebih berat bagi kami untuk senantiasa menjaga dan meningkatkan mutu produk. Semoga elan yang selama ini ada pada kami akan memampukan kami melalui ini seterusnya. 

 To grow continuously the spirit of confidence on our ability, we think that it is not exaggerative to mention here that among the demands for ASM products some of them came from overseas. ASM products have demonstrated passing the high quality requirement of consumers abroad. And it seems that ASM products can be our pride since one of the demands came from the blue continent, Europe!  For one reason it is a remarkable achievement, but for the other one it also means a hard challenge in maintaining and improving the quality. We hope that the elan inside enables us through this smoothly.

Produk ASM di GPMB 2011






Ardhika Sarana Musik menutup tahun 2011 dengan berpartisipasi di event marching band terakbar di Indonesia, Grand Prix Marching Band (GPMB). Selama dua hari penyelenggaraan (23 dan 24 Des 2011) produk ASM dapat disaksikan langsung insan marching band dari seluruh Indonesia yang hadir di acara GPMB.

Ardhika Sarana Musik closed the year 2011 by participating in the largest marching band event in Indonesia, The Grand Prix Marching Band (GPMB). During two days of the event (December 23rd and 24th) ASM products can be seen by visitors of the event that came from various regions of Indonesia.


Kehadiran ASM di event GPMB 2011 rupanya menarik banyak pihak terutama mereka yang belum melihat produk ASM secara langsung. Dengan seksama sebagian pengunjung memperhatikan detil produk ASM. Rasa penasaran sebagian mereka terjawab dengan melihat produk secara langsung. Kalau selama ini sebagian mereka mungkin hanya melihat katalog, foto-foto atau video di internet, atau bahkan hanya mendengar tentang ASM, maka di event GPMB ini mereka dapat melihat produk ASM sedetil-detilnya dan mencoba secara langsung. Yah, GPMB memberi kesempatan banyak pihak untuk membuktikan keunggulan produk ASM.

The presence of ASM products in the GPMB 2011 apparently attracted a lot of visitors, especially those who have not seen the ASM product directly. They paid careful attention to the detail of product. Their curiosity about ASM products was answered by looking at the products directly. Before this event, some of visitors  might have just looked at catalogs, photos or videos on the internet, or even just heard about the ASM products, then within this event they could see and try the products directly. Well, the GPMB event allowed many parties to prove the superiority of ASM products.

Untuk Ardhika Sarana Musik, perhelatan GPMB 2011 ini menjadi titik awal bagi langkah-langkah yang akan dilakukan pada masa mendatang. Dengan semangat untuk terus berinovasi dan turut andil dalam perkembangan marching band di Indonesia, Ardhika Sarana Musik siap menyambut tahun 2012 yang sebentar lagi tiba.  Bravo marching band Indonesia..!


 
To Ardhika Sarana Musik, the GPMB 2011 was a starting point for the steps to be taken in the future. Kaltim Marching Festival 2011



In the end of this year we had the opportunity to witness the Kaltim Marching Festival (KMF) at the invitation of the organizing committee. This of course was a valuable opportunity to see how the course of the event and see the appearance of bands from East Kalimantan.

 
This annual event was a medium to show the skill and performance of bands from East Kalimantan in particular and from Kalimantan in general.  Event that held on 26 and 27 November 2011 and took place in Segiri stadium was not only attended by participants from East Kalimantan but also attended by participant from other province which was from South Kalimantan. There is a possibility that in the next event the participants may come from outside of Kalimantan.

 
 
 
Display contest, color guard contest, and drum battle were the kinds of show that performed in the event. All of them got remarkable attentions from the audience. But among the shows, the drum battle was the mainstay of the organizer and eagerly awaited by the audience. 




 We have some notes and impressions about what we witnessed and felt during the event. First, East Kalimantan is a region with huge potential for the development of a marching band. Its adequate human resources and natural wealth which is of course correlated with the welfare of its people were crucial factors. Second, the era of information and communication technology brings many advantages for them in updating and exchanging information of marching band outside Kalimantan. So what we saw in KMF (in terms of performance) was relatively not much different from what we always saw at the events in Java. Even the fact that we all know is that the marching band from Kalimantan colored and dominated events such as GPMB in Jakarta. Third, in East Kalimantan there was a group of people with high dedication in developing marching band. These people were able to work synergistically, effectively and efficiently to optimize and cultivate existing resources so that the KMF could be held almost without problems. Their unity and cohesiveness became the capital for the continuation of KMF event and for the preservation of idealism in organizing a marching band event.

Bandung Marching Band Championship II 2011











Bandung Marching Band Championship (BMBC) II 2011 has been successfully held on October 14 to 15, 2011 in Bandung, West Java. One of success parameters can be seen in the number of bands participated in the event. The participant bands not only came from Bandung and surroundings, but also from outside Java.





 This success was such a repetition of last year’s success of the organizing committee in holding the same event. This certainly brings optimism that the BMBC as one of GPMB series will be held again in the next year with a better quality of implementation.

The presence of sponsors (read: marching band instrument suppliers) had a big impact in the quality of an event. As with other large events, sponsors involved in the BMBC II were PT Citra Intirama, Bahanna Distributors, and Wijaya Music. They were featuring their flagship products.

A different nuance appeared because of the presence of Ardhika Sarana Musik that carried the ASM marching percussion brand as one of the supporting sponsors. Related to this Ardhika Sarana Musik management gave high appreciation to the committee of BMBC that enabled this synergy occurred. Such synergy is expected to be able to continue in the future.

Sukabumi Marching Band Competition 2011

Sukabumi Marching Band Competition (SMBC), a marching band annual event to celebrate the anniversary of Sukabumi District was successfully held in Palabuhan Ratu, a beautiful town on the south coast of Java, on October 6, 2011. The one day event featured school marching bands derive from Sukabumi District and surrounding.  


The event was held on the collaboration of local government, Jeepsi Sukabumi 4x4 Community, STISIP Widyapuri Mandiri, Scout Movement, and Ardhika Sarana Musik (ASM). It was the first time for the event organizer to take the marching band supplier as a sponsor. And ASM was really grateful for being partner of the event. 




Other factor made this event more credible. That was the jury. All the juries came from Jakarta and among them was one with international certificate.





 
That day became a very bustling and festive day since the event was held outdoor. Crowd of enthusiastic spectators really enjoyed the moment especially when their favorite bands performed.
